Trefin is a village in Pembrokeshire, South-West Wales.
It has been known as Trevine. Trefin gets its name from the Welsh name ''Trefaen'' which translated to English means ''village on the rock outcrop''. The rock outcrop can be seen all around Trefin particularly from the centre.
Aberfelin mill was in use for around 500 years, was used by the villagers of Trefin and the surrounding areas and was closed in 1918! Wheat was milled to produce flour and barley was ground down to feed livestock. The mill building is still standing although has no roof anymore! The mill stones still remain. The location of the mills offers stunning views over the Irish sea!
Archdruid Crwys wrote the most famous poem in Wales about the historic mill named 'Melin Trefin'!
Trefin has a weaving centre, a café, a pub, a hostel, b&b's and self catering cottages.
