Chulmleigh is a remote, Saxon hilltop town and civil parish located in the county of Devon. In 2001 the population of the parish was 1,308. The town boasts some quite old architecture, including some old cob and thatched buildings. The town enjoys a location close to the Tarka Railway Line and King's Nympton Railway Station (formerly called South Molton Road) still has regular services to Barnstaple and Exmouth. Although the station is within the parish, it is around 2 miles (3.2 km) from the town. Chulmleigh Golf Course is just outside the town to the south west.

Where is Chulmleigh?
Chulmleigh is situated 20 miles (32 km) north west of Exeter, and lies just north of the A377 main road from Barnstaple to Exeter and 40 miles (64 km) north east of Plymouth. Lands End lies just over 100 miles (163 km) to the south west of Chulmleigh whilst Central London is168 miles (270 km) to the east.
