Very Efficient Team!

"Very efficient team! Your driver found us on time, even though the house we were staying at was right at the end of a remote lane. The dispatcher had made a big effort to get all the location details. A pleasant chat on the history of the Lizard area made the journey to Redruth station an education. 5*s!"

About Torpoint

Torpoint (Cornish: Penntorr) is a civil parish and town on the Rame Peninsular in south east Cornwall.  At the last census, the town had a population of 8,457.  The town is linked to Plymouth via the Torpoint Ferry (this is a chain ferry which carries pedestrians and vehicles) with a journey time of 7 minutes, making it a very easily commutable distance from the City.   Plymouth is one of the largest Royal Navy bases in the UK.  This town is probably one of the first 'new towns' or 'satellite towns' to be built as it is an eighteenth-century planned town.  Due to the presence of Devonport Dockyard and the later establishment of the Royal Navy training facility at HMS RALEIGH, the population of the town has grown steadily.   Torpoint is also home to the Mount Edgecumbe Estate with the extensive grounds.  Mount Edgcumbe House is the former home of the Earl of Mount Edgcumbe and is set in Grade I Cornish Gardens within 865 acres Country Park.   There is also a pedestrian only ferry at Cremyll linking the peninsular with Plymouth at Admiral's Hard, Stonehouse.  This ferry is the most convenient for the Mount Edgcumbe Estate.
